Requirement Engineer - Service Engineering & Information Management (SEIM)

To strengthen our organization we are now recruiting a SEIM is now seeking a Requirement Engineer for the Gothenburg site, who has the drive and passion to contribute to future solutions of our products, using both your knowledge and curiosity to find the best solutions together with your colleagues within Parts & Service, Product Development & business regions.

Position Description
SEIM is a function within Parts & Service and Global Product Development at Volvo Buses. We are responsible for increasing uptime and profitability for the bus owners. We are today represented in Sweden, Brazil, Mexico, Poland and India.
As a Requirement Engineer you are responsible for setting early requirements in projects to secure the best serviceability for our vehicles. You are also securing the aftermarket SEIM scope for projects through the project description. Further you set requirements in project pre-studies you also work closely with Product Development, Service Market Products, Feature Leaders and Service Engineers in the projects securing the requirements are met.

Main activities and responsibilities:
• Read and understand targets in project prerequisites document
• Give input, verify and validate concepts/solutions
• Support the solution provider to allocate the requirements to the component break down level and aftermarket products
• Review and provide feedback on technical specifications
• Gather and analyze product and project knowledge
• Provide requirements area knowledge to stakeholders and solution providers

Profile:
We believe the best candidate have a technical Engineering degree with a strong vehicle interest or have a solid background from the vehicle aftermarket field. We believe you have worked as a Requirement Engineer or a Service Engineer.

• Business oriented with a clear customer focus & Solution focused
• Holistic view and ability to work cross functionally and build strong relations
• Drive to improve our way of working, with strong implementation skills
• Excellent vehicle maintainability knowledge
• Several years aftermarket experience with truck/bus or transportation industry or workshop experience is a merit
• Good communication, planning and coordination skills
• Good knowledge about verification methods and tools in his/her area of expertise
• Standard Time (ST) and its impact on warranty, dealer and customer
• Good skills in engineering virtual tools
• Eager to learn and work with your own development
• Great communication skills in English, spoken and written
