We are looking for a dedicated technical product planner, who wants to guide the rest of the organization to develop sustainable products to transport people in the future.
Your work assignments
As a technical product planner, the main task is to guide the rest of R&D to make the right technical choices in order to get commercial competitive bus & coach products/services in the future and to meet the long-term strategies. Knowing the bus customers and in which environment they are operating is crucial and your task is, together with our colleagues in the market department, to represent the future bus customer within R&D. This is done by describing customer use cases and their future demands. A good understanding of our competitors and their developments is also important.
Making clear and cross-functionally well-established roadmaps within your responsible area is one of your tasks and based on these roadmaps you will be responsible to initiate necessary bus projects and safeguarding that the right components or systems are developed by R&D.
You will be a part of our group where you will find great commitment and openness, and as a natural part, we support each other even beyond our regular roles. We are working in a global environment and you will have contacts from all over the world both inside and outside R&D.
The role involves close cooperation with our colleagues in the bus commercial product planning department to ensure that needs and strategies are met by executing the projects in the product roadmaps. It is important to challenge our way of working and you will provide ideas to make our work even more efficient.
Your profile
You have a broad vehicle knowledge/interest and you probably have a BSc/MSc in engineering or similar. A solid background in the bus industry, maybe as a sales engineer or similar, is meritorious. You are good at strategic thinking and you have the ability to zoom out to see the big picture. You are customer-oriented, driven, flexible, and positive. You like to communicate and work with others to come to a common understanding. You always find a way forward and you have no problem anchoring cross-functional decisions.
You are good at simplifying, illustrating, and communicating complex questions or future scenarios to be able to take well-grounded decisions. A sense of order is necessary to be able to document and organize information in a smart way.
Good knowledge of English, both written and oral, is a requirement. Understanding and speaking Swedish is meritorious.
