hela Sverige We are looking for a Repair Engineer for our customer in the Automotive.The team you will belong to out on customer site is responsible for developing, documenting and producing service information and labour times for repair procedures for heavy duty vehicles . It includes also involvement in product development activities, giving input in repairability issues. The work is mainly conducted in projects, and is generated by the customer's development activities. Repair procedures and service information are produced utilizing CAD-data to great extent. The CAD data will be used to create service illustrations. Authoring of service information will be using a phrase-based authoring system.
Verification of the result is taking place on physical components or vehicles in the workshop. Therefore it is important with dealership/workshop experience as well as experience from working with 3D tools (Catia, Pro-Engineering or 3DVia).
You will be working in close cooperation with design engineers, requirement engineers and project managers which requires you to be able to work both in teams and individually.
The work will be conducted in a multicultural environment and collaboration with sub-suppliers of technical documentation will be a part of the assignment.
Main responsibilities
• Analyze the impact of new projects
• Give feedback on product design to improve serviceability
• Perform repair methods studies and time measurement, corresponding to our customer's demand on safety, quality, environment and serviceability
• Author and publish service information
• Participate in and contribute to global projects.
• Maintenance of existing information
• Plan own and subcontractors deliveries
• Coordination and support to sub-contractors
• Vehicle mechanical and vehicle electrical education, corresponding to high school minimum.
• Good skills in information management (such as correlation between illustration and text).
• Experience in 3D tools (CATIA, Pro E, 3DVia)
• Minimum three years of workshop experience or similar
• Product knowledge in trucks, buses or cars
• Good PC competence.
• Good knowledge in English & Swedish, both written and spoken.
Other skills: communicative, practical and structured
Meritorious:
• Drivers license, heavy trucks incl. trailer
