In the role as Reliability Engineer, you will work within the department Remote Diagnostic Center (SE GS D GSO CTS RDCM) where you will aggregate fleet operational data from our Gas Turbines. The aggregated fleet statistics are used to show the fleet performance in terms of availability, reliability, MTBF, SR. From the operational statistics you initiate &/ follow up on investigations to determine the technical causes behind the figures.
For you to be successful in your role you understand the principles behind operational statistics, how these are being reported from customer, which standards there are to follow together with good technical knowledge in gas turbines. You are collaborating with various engineering departments and technical support functions and managers to understand the root cause and how these can be addressed.
How You'll Make an Impact
Determines what is causing Forced Outage hours and low availability & reliability thru the operational statistics.
You provide the product managers with Operational Statistics to help them understand their fleet & mitigate risks. Risks could be mitigated thru mods & ups, new analytics within RDC.
Driving an operation statistical approach to fleet issues & proposing focus areas for technical product improvement based on them
Making sure correct data is collected, aggregated & maintained to support the technical investigations (eg;. Stating what kind of input data is required from customers & RDC to determine why machine type X has low start reliability)
Your responsibilities & deliverables
Improving the quality of collected Operational Statistics and how the data is used within MGT
Presenting the Top Offenders for each product type (what's causing most FOH etc)
Driving &/ following up on mitigations to the top offenders (implementing new analytics in RDC, product improvements thru Mods&Ups etc
Collecting input to the Failure Avoidance Process eg; which analytics to be develop to detect issues causing low Availability & Reliability.
What You Bring
You have good technical knowledge in medium gas turbines (SGT600-SGT800).
You have worked as an application/commission/design engineer or equivalent with the above-mentioned products.
You are an engineer in mechanics / electronics / control systems or gathered equivalent competence from your previous roles.
