Background
Alfa Laval is currently on a digital transformation journey. As part of this transformation we have created a global organization to digitally support our business in the best possible way. We are setting ourselves up to work agile, based on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) framework. During 2021 we are gradually onboarding new teams and for this reason we are now seeking a couple of (3) collaborative colleagues who want to join us with the primary responsibility to drive and organize the ART events and assist the teams in delivering value to the larger solution/system.
About the job
The Release Train Engineer (RTE) will manage the agile release train across some 10-30 teams. The RTE is a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART). The major responsibility is to facilitate the ART events and processes and assist the teams in delivering value.
More specifically key tasks will be:
* Put in place and manage the key components of an agile release train, according to SAFe methodology
* Secure the PI planning events
* As part of the management team, drive the shift towards Agile mindset and an agile way of working.
* Act as an Agile Coach on program / value stream level
* In close collaboration with RTE's from other areas establish best practices
* In close collaboration with the Alfa Laval agile coaches secure training, sharing of best practice for the teams.

To succeed in this role you are structured and driven, with the ability to see the big picture. You are collaborative and adaptable, able to interact with all kinds of people. You are a leader with strong coaching skills. You need to be comfortable in not being the subject matter expert, more focusing on driving the process with a lean agile mindset. You are comfortable with working in a global cross-functional setting. Your contribution is very important regarding the departments future business direction and results.
What you know
Relevant academic background and prior experience. You have experience from working in agile roles as scrum master, Release Train Engineer (RTE ) or equal leadership experience. You bring knowledge and experience which you can successfully apply in our context.
