Who are we
Connected Experience is a unit within R&D which includes Infotainment, Connectivity and Car Cloud Platform, Remote Functions, Data & Diagnostics Platform as well as HW & Mechatronics. The eART Solution Integration & Release is supporting the complete product stream by continuously integrating our products on a domain level and by releasing domain baselines according to the needs of the car projects.

Our mission is to provide fast and valuable feedback about the quality status of our product stream covering both current- and future model and to support and give guidance for the total need for verification tools, frameworks and test objects and set up test environments for both ART verification and Solution Integration testing. We are looking for curious, creative people who want to change the world through innovative thinking, specifically a passionate Release Train Engineer (RTE), for our ART.

What you will do
Your purpose as a RTE is to increase speed and flow within the ART together with the Scrum Masters and the ART management team.

You will be a member of the ART management / department management team for eART Solution Integration & Release and work both internally for the eART but also in close cooperation with the neighboring ARTs within Connected Experiences.

You will drive to remove and escalate impediments, manage risks and help the ART to ensure delivered value. You will take lead for improvements and contribute to drive change throughout the whole R&D organization wrt continuous integration, verification, releases and deployment to find new ways of working more suitable for an agile and software oriented set-up.

As an RTE you will be organizing and facilitate the PI planning events. You will also aggregate team PI objectives into Program PI objectives and publish these for visibility and transparency. You would assist with execution and feature/capability completion tracking as well as provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks. You will work with product and solution management, product owners and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment as well as report status and collaborate with the Solution Train Engineer (STE) and support related activities.

Who you are

You have a positive attitude, are self-managed and proactive. You are flexible and eager to learn, with a growth and agile mindset. Further, you are well organized and thorough with documentation.

Ideally, you have a BSc/MSc degree in Software, Electronics or equivalent with several years of experience from working with software and hardware releases, supplier management and continuous integration.

You are fluent in the English language both spoken and in writing. You have a business and end customer value understanding along with a minimum of 2 years' experience in Agile leadership.

You have an Inclusive, communicative, team oriented, customer focused mindset. You are curious and continuously searching for new knowledge. You are result driven and always looking to develop yourself and new ways of working. You are self-motivated and pro-active. You have a hands-on approach to problems where you learn by doing.

What is also beneficial for you in this role, is if you also bring experience of development working in the automobile industry especially knowledge of Volvo Cars development process in general as well as the electrical development process.
