Connected Experience is a unit within Volvo Cars Engineering which includes Connectivity Platform, Remote Functions, Infotainment and Driver and Vehicle Information as well as HW and Mechatronics.
The Connectivity Platform Department contribute to the overall connected experience of our customers as we develop and operate Cellular and WiFi Connectivity of our cars. This is the basis for everything from Over-the-Air updates, to Volvo Cars mobile App and a multitude of infotainment and safety functions and services.
The team is primarily located in Gothenburg, Sweden (Lindholmen Office) and in Lund, Sweden.
What you'll do
We are looking for a Release Train Engineer (RTE) who wants to join us in our exciting journey to develop and keep our strong position. You will be a member of the ART (Agile Release Train) and Department management team.
As an RTE you are the driver for the ART deliverables and releases and the main interface to stakeholders with regards to the ART delivery status.
* You have, from line, the delegated execution responsibility for your area
* You manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART including facilitating agile ceremonies if applicable
* You are responsible for the interface towards receivers of the ART deliveries
* You are responsible for all ART deliveries/releases with regards to time and within content
* You are responsible to create and maintain an ART Delivery/Release Plan
* You are responsible for the ART status reporting
* Together with other ART leaders (i.e. PM, DM) you drive needed agile processes.
* You help manage and reduce risks and dependencies
* You solve, escalate and track impediments
* You provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
* You work with ART and solution management, product owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment

What you'll bring
You are a person with a positive attitude who likes to be proactive and has the courage to take initiative and drive progress. Quick thinking, excellent communication, and team coordination are among the most paramount skills required for this role.
