About the position
A Release Product Manager has the overall responsibility of the management of a defined UIQ release in relation to our customers and internal stakeholders.
The responsibilities cover
• To cooperate with Product Planning in the definition phase of the UIQ Product Release in terms of features and agreement of the scope with the licensees
• To interact with customers to secure their understanding of the opportunities provided by the release
• To interact with customers of the release to secure management of product related issues
• To manage the commercial aspects of product management
• To act as the internal customer of the corresponding project(s) within UIQ Technology
• To participate in Project Steering Group, Change Control Board and Defect Review Board
• To drive Product tollgates
• To prepare presentations and documentationrequired for the communication and management of product releases
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for someone that isn't afraid to make decisions, enjoys working in a rapidly changing market and environment and has the following qualifications and skills:
• Previous product management experience
• Knowledge of the UIQ product
• Ability to combine customerrelation skills with solid technical understanding
• Abilityto understand new technology and distill customer needs
• Good technical ability - able to understand new technology
• Able to work and show leadership cross-functionally.
• Is positive, well-organized, outgoing and self motivated
Academic degree - minimum Bachelor degree - in areas such as Computer Science, Engineering or Marketing, or other relevant experience.
Excellent communication and written skills in English is required.
Previous experience of working in an international and dynamic environment with extensive interaction with other companies is an advantage.
