Product Configuration & Design Support (PC&DS) at CEVT is responsible for establishing the product program logic and rules for the platform and its projects. This is then broken down into BOM's of parts, meaning building part structures and release it for use. We work operational for the project and we support the engineers in the release and change management processes. We are also responsible of drawing checking and design support. We internal customers almost within every area as well as the plants.

Release & BOM Engineer
As a Release & BOM Engineer you will work in the PC&DS Department with building BOMs and release parts for downstream customers. It is an administrative work which requires logical and analytical thinking. You need to work closely with the engineers and take part of the change management process. The result is used for building cars in different specifications correctly at every point in time. You must like teamwork and administrative work. To succeed in this position, you need to be service minded, proactive, structured and accurate.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Build the BOMs platform wise and/or vehicle wise - Add parts to BOM and build part structures and manage part data
- Advise and check variant conditions on parts
- Release parts for downstream customers - Make sure that release process is followed so the change is well documented.
- Make sure that the part has the correct validity and contains the information needed for that release.
- Make sure that the variant set is complete for 100% vehicle at every introduction point, meaning all variants and that the right amount of parts per variant exists
- Contribute in change management of parts (PCR-process)
- Support engineers in the release process
- Contribute/Establish in continuous improvement of our processes, tools and methods
Requirements
- Experience from Automotive, Configuration & Variant Management as well as analytical work.
- Analytical mindset.
- Be structured and accurate.
- Act proactively
- Open minded and solution driven

- Social skills and ability to work in team
- Easy to communicate with people
- Fluent in English
CEVTS core PLM system is TeamCenter (TC) and that is what we use for this work. But since we also build some of our vehicles in Volvo plants we also need to do similar work in Volvos PLM-system called KDP. We are now looking for Release & BOM Engineers to both these teams.
