Release Manager (50%)
The Release Manager is responsible for the implementation of changes to the software, so that these are carried out effectively, safely, and verifiably. His tasks include planning, monitoring and implementation of respective Rollouts or Rollins and even emergency Rollbacks in co-ordination with the Environment Coordinator, the Change Manager and the Configuration Manager
Job Description
The release manager organizes, directs, and manages activities for building and maintaining software releases for their promotion to the production environment. The release manager provides technical support to software developers and business personnel in executing and managing test processes. The release manager directs activities to ensure the software products meet quality standards and performance objectives within defined time and budget targets.
Description
• Establishes a process for release build and delivery coordination (HW, SW, doc)
• Establishes a release changes and deviations process complementing the Change proc.
• Establishes a release management activity plan, being integrated into overall project plan
• Coordinates the release build and implementation towards all concerned non-user parties
• Coordinates reviews of that only agreed and approved artifacts are included in a release
• Ensures that release changes are traceable and common rollback points are implemented
• Administrates release content based on input from the Architect team and the Sub projects
• Creates release documentation based mainly upon suppliers release documentation
• Ensures that source code and HW/SW/middleware config:s copies are securely stored
• Works in close contact with Inc-PM:s, Chief Architect, Change Manager and Environment Coordinator
• Reports to Configuration Manager (75%) and Team Compass Manager (25%)
Environment Coordinator (50%)
The purpose of the environment coordinator role is to collaborate between the project in whole (including all sub projects) and the system owners of all the systems that Compass needs to integrate with, both directly and indirect. This includes coordination of the needs for environments and ordering of integrations between the sub projects and existing system owners.
Description
The environment coordinator should in close cooperation with the release manager collaborate and be the link between the project and each system owner of all systems that are in one way or another connected to the project and to the Compass system. The role shall assure that potential changes to the different systems are made in time and that all necessary preparations in the systems are made in order to assure smooth interaction with Compass. The environment coordinator acts as SPOC for environment related issues and coordinates Infrastructure and Integration.
The environment coordinator is also responsible for assuring that SLAs are in place that assures the interests of the business for Compass in production.

• Time plan.
• Requirements from other sub-projects, e.g. Test and Integration.
• Non Functional Requirements (NFRs).
• Recommendations from suppliers.
• Infrastructure documentation.
• Business requirements.
• Specifications & plans from Common Services
Deliverables
The result from the role is:
• Planning and coordination of necessary environments in accordance with requirements from the project according to the time plan (e.g. environments as LOAD, SIMS, MDM, INGO+, etc.) throughout all project phases and for production.
• Coordination of orders to setup environments and integrations to internal and external parties.
• Coordination of application staging, setup and closure (configuration of environments is done by the sub projects).
• Requirements to establish SLAs with the surrounding systems (not with Project or the Compass environments) where this is not already in place.
• Documentation of environments including integrations.
Responsible organisation
• Team Compass and Project is responsible for the role definition, methodology and execution.
• Team Compass and Project gives necessary support and advice concerning all systems operated by the customer
• Suppliers give necessary support and advice concerning all systems operated by external suppliers.
• Reports to Configuration Manager (75%) and Team Compass Manager (25%)
