Dfind IT searches on behalf of mBlox an experienced Release Engineer to their development office in Lund. Are you a creative, technically-minded person who likes to work hands-on but also want to influence? Does it attracts you to be a driving force in your area of expertise, to plan releases and prepare automations within integration and deployment? Are you a problem solver with extensive experience in development and testing? Then please read on!
As a Release Engineer you will have operational responsibility for releases of development systems, test systems and production systems. Your main responsibility will be to develop and maintain our Continuous Integration and Test Environment. mBlox is working with Scrum, and you will work in one of our teams together to plan and coordinate the releases to be built and deployed. You have a good understanding of software systems sometimes complex inter-dependence and impact on other parts of the system.
Another important part of your role is to work with improvement, particularly in the deployment process. Here is a higher degree of automation, efficiency and safety given goals. You are expected to build automations through deployment scripts in Python and shell scripts. In your role, you have many contacts, including developers, testers, product managers and scrum masters.
You are a person who has easy to cooperate with others, create team spirit and motivation. You take initiative, act with confidence and create activity. Your working language is English. It is an advantage if you know Swedish.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has worked as an operating release engineer or release manager for a few years, and now want to take the step to become responsible for the area.
You have:
• Very good knowledge of Linux, solid knowledge in configuring networks and packages
• Extensive experience of various automated build and test environments such as Jenkins, JUnit and JMeter
• Experience of deployment and configuration of Java applications
• Good experience in creating scripts in Python and Fabric
• Experience with any web server technologies such as Apache, Tomcat, Nginx
• Experience with SQL - MySQL and relational databases
