An international school within the International Baccalaureate (IB) educational concept was started in Boden in 2023 with the aim of promoting and enabling the market's need for qualified labor in the ongoing social transition. At ISB -International school of Boden, we inspire students to become well-rounded, global citizens through the IB Learner Profile-a set of ten attributes that help shape independent, curious, and responsible learners.
IB is a world around international school from PYP and MYP and to IB DP for our oldest students. IB has its own curriculum and strive to connect as many subjects as is possible by transdisciplinary learning.
This position is as Head/principal of School for PYP and MYP. You are expected to communicate in english, both with staff and with students and their families.

As Head/Principal of IB, you will be responsible for staff, work environment, and finances, ensuring that the operations meet the International Baccalaureate's educational concept and that the implementation provides students with the best possible conditions to succeed in their studies. You will also be a good ambassador for Boden Municipality and the Education Administration.
Boden Municipality provides good conditions for success in the role of Head/Principal. You will be part of a team with principals from other schools within the administration. There is also access to operational support from the School Development Center, which organizes local and central student health services, IT and communication, and a central reception unit for newly arrived students. At the central level, there is support from HR, finance, IT, and the registry.
KvalifikationerWe are looking for someone with a teaching degree and the International Baccalaureate Head of School Cat 1 training. You have several years of experience working as a teacher and experience working as a manager/principal. You have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. Principal training is an advantage.
You are familiar with IB's educational concept and have an understanding of the head/principal's assignment. You have the adequate ability to strategically lead your operations, learn new systems, and use them in your work as a principal. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.
You need to have an inner drive to work both strategically and operationally towards the results and goals that the assignment requires. You remain effective and motivated despite setbacks and act with high integrity and loyalty in your leadership role. You have a collaborative approach based on good communication and the ability to build relationships. You treat employees equally and respectfully. A solution-oriented approach is necessary in your role as principal, in order to create opportunities and give the organization energy for development.
