Regulatory compliance is an important aspect of running a global consumer durables business. It is a specialized and highly dynamic field that requires constant attentive monitoring, as well as interaction with the organization to proactively manage towards meeting changing standards. The responsibility for SVP regulatory compliance involves contacts with sales companies worldwide as well as Asian OEM suppliers. We are now looking for someone to take on this responsibility.
Main tasks and responsibilities
It is crucial for our company that we meet all market access requirements, for new products as well as for existing products. The person we now look for must have the ability to act as specialist in following areas:
• Creating global best practice procedures and implementing global tools.
• Monitor product liability issues and deal with regulatory approvals.
• Take responsibility for maintaining routine for safety parts.
• Responsible for establishing, administering and maintaining the Technical Construction File.
• Responsible for being the company specialist in regulatory matters, and that the company keeps all products current approvals up to date.
• Monitor, review, and implement all applicable global regulatory requirements.
• Support sales organization with regulatory compliance questions and technical documentation.
• Responsible for further development of SVP approach regarding regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering
• It is preferable to have at least 5 years working experience in relevant working area.
• Knowledge within global market access requirements specifically European Directives associated with CE marking such as LVD, EMC, RoHS, REACH and EuP.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex subject matter to less knowledgeable audiences, verbally and in writing, both in Swedish and in English.
• Knowledge about relevant IEC and UL standards.
• A strong interest in the specific subject matters and a good capability to deep dive in extensive documentation within the regulatory area.
• Ability to work with global cross-functional teams as well as a strong independent ability.
• Important personal characteristics: Driven with an accurate, structured, thorough mindset.
