Overview
We are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Manager to provide support to our European Away From Home (AFH) Professional Hygiene Business.
This is a new position in the AFH EPM organization and the person will drive regulatory questions in the AFH business, supporting our Sales & Marketing organizations and as well as work together with other Regulatory Managers in the SCA Global Regulatory Affairs network. It is important that the person has a solid regulatory affairs background and knowledge, preferably within the chemical technical area, combined with a good business understanding and interest.
The ideal candidate is confident and knowledgeable in the Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance/Compliance area. He/She has the ability to take charge and work proactive as well as cooperate in a network to share and improve the total knowledge of SCA in his/her key competence field. The RA Manager needs documented competence in legislation and other regulatory demands within the specific area of competence.
This is a unique opportunity as you will start to build up this function in AFH using input from key stakeholders (i.e Sales & Marketing organization, RA network, other colleagues) in combination with legal demands and by this strengthen our competitiveness and in the chemical technical area.The EPM organization is located in Gothenburg but the position holder could be located elsewhere in Europe but needs to be prepared to a certain amount of travel.

Main Tasks
To secure input for BU to have relevant procedures safeguarding that our products comply with all product related regulations.
To secure notification / denotification / approval by authority of AFH articles.
To monitor and keep up to date the development of relevant legislation.
To register / support registration of new products and to keep the list of registered cosmetic products updated and available.
To actively participate in internal and external networks, trade associations and other organizations defined by the Business Unit.
Support sales organizations in efficient communication towards customers in Regulatory affairs matters.

Key Competencies
Good written and verbal communication, good judgement in what other people need to know to do their part of the RA work.
Can design practices, processes and procedures and follow up to make sure they work in practice.
Proactive and work independently.
Knowledgeable and build trust.
Detail oriented and organized.
Service minded and positive.
Ability to work with people from various cultures and background.
5 years’ experience in similar functions.
Fluent in English, written as well as spoken, French, German or other European languages an advantage.
