About us
Regulatory Affairs is a part of Product Regulation & Compliance within R&D. Our job is to make sure that the development of cars and products take global regulations into account towards compliance. We are now looking for a new team member within the area of global non-automotive regulations to support the development of cars and digital services, as our cars are now connected to the internet. We work in close collaboration with Product Creation, SBO and Legal.

What you will do
The Regulatory Affairs team works in agile clusters and we are responsible for global regulations to support the development of our cars and digital services. You will work as a Regulatory Expert, both with your Volvo Cars network and with trade organizations, authorities and other external stakeholders to derive a comprehensive understanding of technologies and regulatory developments of concern. The main objective of the job is a combination of identifying, monitoring, influencing and informing about regulations in the areas of cellular communication and digital services. A key aspect of the job is to cooperate with others, understand what we want to achieve and navigate towards compliance. The position implicates a broad contact network both within- and outside of the company and an opportunity for personal development in an international atmosphere.

You and your skills
We are looking for you who:

• Have extensive skills and knowledge in a few of the following areas: Telecom regulations, Wireless Network Technology like 3G, 4G, 5G and V2X, Cloud based technologies / Connected Car Cloud (or other cloud services) and Internet Of Things
• Have experience of working with or in:
* Management of different certification and compliant approval processes (regulatory- and industry requirements related to the technologies above)
* Test and certification companies related to the technologies above
* Internet service providers
* Different standardization- or wireless communication fora's such as (FCC, CE, 5G Automotive Alliance, Smart Cities etc.)
* Cyber security and personal data protection

• Have university degree in Engineering or Law, or similar competence with an extensive experience and technical understanding from working in the areas mentioned above.
• It is meritorious if you have experience from working with agile methods and in agile teams.

On a personal side, as a member of our agile team you are self-managed leader while being a true team player with a positive mind set. A positive attitude and willingness to support the companies ' transformation agenda is absolutely key. We would also like to see that you have excellent communication skills, as well as great verbal and written skills in English.
