hela Sverige As a Technical Services Manager you will lead our professional Technical Sales Partners around northern Europe. You will have a broad role where you work as a frontline person. You will be a member of our management team and you will be responsible for our strategy execution plan. You act like a supporter to the organization with guidance and tools that we need to develop our business. You will report to our Coatings Engineering and Service Manager, and the position will be based in the Nordics or DACH Regions.
Your main responsibilities include:
• Conduct demonstrations of products and transfer the knowledge on AkzoNobel processes as well as on technical problem solving to the customers.
• Collect filters and prioritize product-related issues and needs occurring in the region with feedback of complaints handling.
• Perform technical scans and audits at designated customers.
• Conduct in testing process as well as in the implementation of new company products and technologies.
• Help with process optimization and operational excellence at the customer's location.
• Align technical activities within allocated regions.
• Support technical, color and IT helpdesk for the region.
• Manage activities within AkzoNobel Training Center.
Main Management Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Regional Management Team and ensure that the matrix structure operates efficiently.
• Act as an ambassador and encouraging talent processes and engagement.
• Ensure that job profiles are in place, set objectives for team members, review development and provide clear, open and constructive feedback on performance combined with appropriate actions.
• Strengthen the talent pipeline by developing talent and regularly assess and discuss talent and internal movement.
• Create an open environment in the team where all people can perform at their best and stimulate the development of others and ensure an engaged team.
• Ensure that the reporting line is fully informed and acts in line with HSE and Compliance regulations.
• Manage and plan budget and proactively manage the costs.
Requirements
To be successful in this position you will need at least 5-6 years working experience. You have good business and organizing skills and you have strong leadership qualifications. You must be able to communicate in English on a professional level, written as spoken. Excellent skills within the Office Package and Excel are required; experience from the boat industry is an advantage. The ability and experience to work structured, strategic and long-term is necessary. You will travel a lot in our Nordic and DACH countries.
As a person we expect you to be flexible, pragmatic and able to drive changes and to take the overall ownership of the function. You also have a strong drive to develop and challenge the business. You are communicative, able to work cross functional with a high engagement and with a service minded approach.
Other requirements
• High school or Bachelor degree in commercial education and/or education as a boat builder
• Knowledge of Yacht Business
• Knowledge in boat building/paint application
