The GE Global Operation Sourcing organization gathers over 500 supply chain professionals, based in America, EMEA & Asia poles, working every day to make GE a more efficient and cost effective company.
These Regional Sourcing Leaders will be dedicated to our Healthcare business and work in a Nordic team, as owner for Sourcing for the assigned commodities/category/purchase family.
Essential Responsibilities:
The main commodities to be covered in those roles at a domestic or Nordic level depending on skills, experience and potential, will be:
Facility Management and MRO
Transportation & Warehousing
Purchased Services (Consulting, professional services and general temp labor)
IT and Telecom
Those responsibilities include the development, communication and execution of strategies to ensure realization of the business objectives for assigned commodities.
The selected candidates will have a strategic and commercial mindset, be able to lead various cross-discipline and international procurement projects, handle complex administrative contract work and contribute to a stimulating international work environment.
The positions can be located in Helsinki, Uppsala or Oslo.
The characteristics of the chosen Sourcing Leaders can still influence the final responsibility area of the chosen Sourcing Leader.
Responsibilities:
Leading development and execution of local Sourcing strategies, delivering a competitive advantage driving the strategic supplier initiatives, including supplier selection, development, and supplier consolidation to ensure Sourcing optimization.
Partnering with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced material and services meet the needs of the business and strategies are aligned
Driving business productivity metrics affected by Indirect Sourcing, ensuring accuracy, identifying new areas of opportunity to drive cost out, implement operating efficiency or improve productivity, including leading bullet trains within the P&L.
Affecting improvement in Sourcing processes through digitization and simplification including management/employee communication, policy recommendations or management dashboards for individual spend controls.
Driving Sourcing for all GE Healthcare businesses in Uppsala and/or in Helsinki, Oslo.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Master (preferred) or Bachelor degree, specializing in relevant fields such as procurement, supply chain management, logistics, economics or engineering
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Experience in implementing a compliant supply chain
English is mandatory, fluent in both written and oral, Swedish/Finnish is highly preferred; other Nordic languages are also highly valued
Ability to work at a cross countries level, as Nordic and European interactions will occur on a daily base
