hela Sverige Role Summary/Purpose:
Manage cross-modality research activities and support modality-specific research activities at Karolinska and other academic sites in the Nordic Region (Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland), helping GE and research collaborators meet mutual objectives. Primary role is program management, project management and coordination.
Essential Responsibilities:
Shall not have any sales or marketing responsibilities.
Represent GE as main point of contact for research request from potential research partners.
Drive proper assessment of Research collaboration opportunity and transfer ownership of the project to the appropriate internal stakeholder as needed.
Manage cross-modality research projects and support modality-specific research projects.
Lead the research response to multi-modality tenders that require a research response, support modality-specific tender.
Manage research relationship with Karolinska and key research sites & investigators in the Nordic Region.
Represent GE in scientific and clinical expert groups and associations.
Support modalities to leverage external funding for research projects by identifying funding opportunities and representing GE at funding agencies.
Provide first screen of investigator-initiated proposals, utilizing knowledge of modalities roadmaps and research interest, prior to modality research manager engagement.
Establish operating mechanisms with modalities and researchers to resolve issues, track achievement of milestones and research deliverables, and approval of payments for research studies.
Coordinate major modality roadmap / technical reviews with academic partner or visit at GRC.
Plan executive visits with research partners.
Lead the research response to multi-modality tenders that require a research component with an emphasis on process speed and efficiency. Support modality-specific tender.
Establish operating mechanisms with commercial organization to share any outstanding issue potentially impacting GE relationship with research partners.
Drive compliance relative to academic research and research agreements. Ensure compliance with all GE Company policies and regulations, as well as local guidelines with respect to research and customer interactions.
Communicate and update GE?s position and requirements relative to compliance to collaborators as required. Own Comprehensive Research Agreements with research partners.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelors in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or related scientific field
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills in both English and Swedish
Experience in medical technology & applications and clinical research
Program management experience with proven ability to manage budgets, resources and timelines
Experience in working directly with academic researchers desired
Experience working with Ethics Committees and regulatory agencies
Advanced scientific, engineering, or medical degree
EU work permit
