Regional Functional Procurement Manager Europe
Bohus (later Goteborg), fulltime
Within this opportunity you will drive indirect procurement projects in Europe, procurement excellence and spend-down for categories such as HR, Financial and Professional Services in close cooperation with Global Category Managers, the Business, market and other stakeholders.

Our NPR Procurement organization is committed to the highest standards of NPR (non-product related) Procurement and aims to deliver best-in-class services that support Nouryon strategic objectives by continuously improving our NPR spend-down program. In order to achieve this, we are strengthening the Functional Procurement team to better leverage its commercial buying power, increase procurement involvement in corporate projects, and better fit our current and future business needs.
Within this context your mission in this role is to manage and support procurement in Europe for Services across our Business Units (BU) and Corporate Functions, taking into account their requirements as well as NPR Procurement policies and guidelines, while aligning it to global category strategies.
You will join a 150-employee Global NPR Procurement organization and you will report into Global Manager Functional Procurement. The role and its responsibilities:
This instrumental and influential role is based in based in Bohus (relocating to Goteborg at a later stage), from where your core task will be to support Global Category Managers and the Overall Global Category Strategy, source suppliers for various Services Category including HR, Financial and Professional Services, while optimizing commercial terms and total cost of ownership.
This requires you to actively engage with the key business leaders and colleagues, Nouryon Leadership and other key stakeholders to gather business requirements and specifications within different Business Functions and incorporate these into sourcing strategies, supplier selections and decisions.
You will be responsible within Europe for functional spend categories, being the main point of contact for suppliers regarding contractual and commercial topics. As part of performance and escalation management, also taking ownership of issues with internal stakeholders.
Furthermore, you will lead and support cross-functional teams for RFPs, negotiations, and contracting. Strong cooperation with internal stakeholders and other functions (such as legal) is of the essence and part of your DNA. This should result in the selection and contracting of suppliers that have effectively met the business requirements by providing high quality products or services at competitive cost.
At all times you maintain a continuous approach to learning and market intelligence in order to keep up with the best source of supply, benchmarking, and market trends.
Job Requirements:
To apply for this position, you should match below profile:
Bachelor or Master's degree in Business Administration or another relevant discipline;
4-6 years of relevant work experience in Procurement within a Global Sourcing environment;
Experience with indirect/services procurement. Sourcing background in the mentioned categories and knowledge of the industry is considered a strong advantage;
Able to deploy solid negotiation and problem-solving skills while working and executing with a high level of autonomy;
Sound business acumen, strong relationship builder, and skilled at managing internal and external stakeholders;
Good presentation skills and ability to analyze data and technical requirements from different angles;
The highest levels of integrity and business ethics, along with sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to adapt your approach accordingly;
Powerful interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, including a strong Microsoft Office capability and fluent written and spoken English.

The application process
After the closing date, we will start the selection process.
In our first selection we thoroughly go through all the applications. If your skills and qualifications match the profile we are looking for, you will be invited to an initial phone interview that takes approximately 30 minutes. If you proceed in our selection process we invite you to an interview that takes about 1 hour. There you will meet with the the hiring manager. Followed by an interview with a Global Category Manager from the Functional Procurement team.
