Job Summary
We are looking for a professional Regional Customs Manager, who will lead the workforce management and development, be an expert in optimization (Free Trade Agreements and other special regimes allowed by local customs authorities), monitor regional risks and regulatory developments and drive customs brokers performance management. The Regional Customs Manager will be the escalation point and support on problem solving for Customs Operations.
In this role you will be managing the European region.
The position will be based in Sweden. You may be required to travel 25% of your time regionally / globally.
What you will do
Drive regional customs team and manage people development.
Guarantee trade-flows optimization and the accurate application of special regimes
Manage regulatory developments and all risks for customs operations - import and export.
Collaboration & conflict management (internally and externally with logistics providers/ customs brokers)
Build and keep communication with local and regional key stakeholders.
Manage and support problem solving in the customs operation, and support business needs.
Ensure compliance of Free Trade Agreements, IPR, Drawback and all benefits Tetra Pak can apply for, as well as guarantee full compliance with local regulations.
Lead the implementation of cross functional procedures with customs brokers and Logistics to standardize and align data declared in customs declarations.
Perform the origin qualification of all goods exported to countries that have signed Trade Agreements with European countries.
Be responsible for customs tariff classification and approval.
Responsible to close open gaps related to the Internal and external Audits.
We believe you have
Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Foreign Trade, International Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain or Accounting.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Free Trade Agreements and customs regulations and intercompany operations as well as other relevant regulations with the countries Tetra Pak has customs operations with.
Must have knowledge in special customs regimes.
Excellent command of English, both written and oral.
Very important to have experience on dealing with government and customs authorities audits.
You have strong leadership skills and have the interest and ability to develop and motivate others. You enjoy working in a dynamic and international environment with people from various cultures. We believe you have the ability to build and maintain successful relations with stakeholders and assure compliance throughout the organisation.
