As the Regional Bid & Proposal Manager, you will lead one of the two bid & proposal teams in the preparation of bids with responsibility to coordinate your tender team works and understand any relevant bid requirements. You will have the responsibility for delivering on time the most competitive offer which will be based on an optimized cable design to fit with an effective production and installation, so to meet the Customer expectations and satisfaction.
You will be working fully coordinated with the relevant Business Unit Sales team, with other Tender teams which belong to the PG (i.e. Germany, US, UK) and according to the Product Group High Voltage Cables targets/inputs.
The most important task required to perform this role in full is the capacity to overlook the relevant tenders in their complexity and understand all the key areas which might affect the quality and the success of the offers themselves. Your leading role will be guiding the team and individuals both in contributing to the adequate order intake but also to develop the team to the next level of performance, building respectful and consistent business relationship with Customers.
Technical, Installation, Commercial and Contract risks analysis represent the core of the success of an offer and you will be supported by experts and competent resources from Engineering, Installation and Legal/Contract departments and within the overall Bid & Proposal department. You will participate in customer negotiations and work closely with all the concerned departments within HVC.
In case of contract award, you and your team will be responsible for the full and comprehensive hand over to the Project Manager and his/her team assigned to the execution, representing the historical data of the tender works and of the discussions held with the Client. You and the relevant resources that have worked on the tender preparation will remain available to the project execution team for any clarification needed to execute how it has been tendered.
Requirements
You preferably hold at least a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering, Commercial Management or similar, combined with at least a few years' experience in a similar position. Adding to this, you have strong negotiation skills and experience in Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) projects including risk management. High proficiency in English is required combined with strong communication skills, written and spoken alike.
