Finaref AB is a Finansmarknadsbolag under the supervision of Finansinspektionen. Finaref AS, the Norwegian subsidiary, is under the supervision of Finanstilsynet.
Finaref AB is now looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to its Swedish office, conveniently located in Viared (64 km east of Gothenburg, 8 km west of Borås).
The Accounting Manager, and its team of 3 accountants, is responsible for bookkeeping, making sure that accounting rules are followed in all three countries (Sweden, Norway, Finland) and aligning the local accounting rules with the accounting rules imposed by the shareholder. Furthermore, the Accounting Manager is in charge of reporting to local authorities (such as the FSA, tax authorities etc.), establishment of the annual reports and cooperation with auditors as well as contacts with banks.
Main Responsibilities:
• Ensure that Accounting, Consolidation and Tax rules (both local and group rules) are followed in each of the three countries and by the group
• Guarantee control processes and reconciliations
• Ensure correct Tax/VAT reporting, while optimising group taxation within the legal frames
• Deliver monthly results (legal accounts, consolidation, group accounts) while respecting deadlines
• Follow-up capital coverage requirements and ensure they are respected
• Make cash flow forecasts
• Establish Annual and half year reports in accordance to IFRS per country and the group
• Cooperation with external Auditor and Banks
• Generate and update accounting rules and accounting/finance policies
• Relation and Reporting to local Authorities in the 3 countries
• Secure the right knowledge and the motivation of the Accounting team
Profile:
To succeed in this role you have previous experience from working with accounting, consolidation and annual reports, preferably in the Financial sector or as an Auditor. You have a university degree in Business and / or Economics. Preferably we see that you have a solid knowledge of IFRS requirements and Basel II / III.
You are accurate, efficient, organized and committed, and are not afraid to question and take own initiatives. You use your analytical skills to see the bigger picture. You are used to working with deadlines and are resistant to stress.
Good communication skills are fundamental and you are fluent in English.
Between the monthly closings you will take part in different internal projects to improve and make our procedures more efficient
You will report directly to the Nordic CFO, based in Copenhagen.
