"Drive Environmental Excellence" is one of four 2020 Strategic Objectives for Tetra Pak. The role of Global Environment is to support our business by defining and implementing an environmental strategy, developing supporting policies and ensuring implementation throughout Tetra Pak.
In your position as Recycling Specialist, Polymers you will be part of a team dedicated to fostering recycling activities globally to help packages made by Tetra Pak be recycled in every market. You will report to the Recycling Programme Manager, in Global Environment.
You will use your technical competence to support the creation and the development of technologies to recycle the polymers and polymer composites present in Tetra Pak cartons. You will facilitate a process to actively both collect and share knowledge with a diverse group of colleagues around the world who are responsible for seeking useful technologies and recycling processes.
Main responsibilities
• Support the development of a RoadMap for polymer recycling and recovery technologies;
• Help assess and evaluate these recovery technologies;
• Engage in a process to foster technology improvement and to scout for new technologies;
• Supporting activities in markets in order to drive short and long-term ambitions for recycling evolution;
• Drive initiatives to map and strengthen the technical solutions for recycling of the main components of Tetra Pak packages.
Publiceringsdatum2011-12-18KvalifikationerTo be successful you need to be a self motivated and structured networker with solid technical/mechanical engineering skills. You are a team player with good communication and presentation skills, which you use to train others and share your knowledge. Fluent written and spoken English is a must.
Your educational background is an MSc degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or similar. You have experience working with polymers and probably a good knowledge about mechanical properties and thermo-mechanical recycling processes. Experience with fibre recycling and a good understanding of environment general concepts and experience working in the recycling value chain are a bonus.
