Description
"Drive Environmental Excellence" is one of four 2020 Strategic Objectives for Tetra Pak.
The role of Global Environment is to define and implement an environmental strategy, developing supporting policies and ensuring implementation throughout Tetra Pak.
The Recycling Teamin Global Environment leads the global strategic development of recycling forpost-consumer beverage cartons by developing and driving the strategy and performance measuring, creating a knowledge base for recycling value chain solutions and by facilitating collaboration and knowledge sharing.
As Recycling Manager you will lead a small and highly motivated team contributing to Tetra Pak's strategic objective of increased recycling.
The position is based in Lund and is a temporary assignment for about 1 year. The position reports to the Director, Environmental Performance.
Main responsibilities
• Manage quarterly recycling performance reporting and analysis
• Maintain and further develop a global of technical recycling managers based in key geographies around the world
• Support and encourage the development of innovative recyclingsolutions to raise the market value of used beverage cartons and reduce transformation costs
• Assess and follow up investments made in recycling capacity expansion
• Develop knowledge and tools to support implementation of best practices
• Support internal and external communications
Qualifications
We are looking for a leader with the drive to deliver results and continuously improve the way ofworking. You have excellent skills in linking strategy to operations and in planning and organizing work. The successful candidate is self motivated and excellent in informal networking. The ability to manage cultural sensitivity combinedwith solid technical / engineering skills is also required.
You have a solid educational background in industrial or mechanical engineering and previous experience from working with customer support, business development or product development in a global organisation. Furthermore, you have experience and interest in managing people and in developing teams. A good understanding of general environmental sciences and experience from working in the recycling value chainare a bonus.
You have the necessary skills to lead and create interaction in teams of technical people, to engage and create trust among stakeholders and to make professional presentations for senior management. In this position we require excellent communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English.
