The Tanto International School based on Södermalm is looking for a qualified teacher to be responsible for a Reception/Year 1 class of 18 to 20 students between the ages of 4.5 and 6 years old. Initially the position is for one academic year starting in August.
The school follows the English National Curriculum and the environment for the students is more "structured" than many day care facilities who follow only the Swedish National objectives.
The school is well-established and provides a stimulating and fun working environment.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic native English speaker with a teaching certificate. Good classroom organisation and high expectations of behaviour are essential. 2 years experience with this particular age group is desirable.
Particular skills in Music, Art and Crafts would be advantageous. We also encourage lots of outdoor activities for both staff and students.
We expect all our staff to be proficient in the use of ICT in the classroom and experience using Apple Macintosh computers and software would be useful.
Salaries start at 25K depending on experience. Holidays according to the school calendar. Hours generally 8:15 to 4:15.
