hela Sverige We have an opportunity for one individual to join Drug Product Delivery as Associate Principal Scientist with focus on project management and delivery within R&D Supply chain to clinical trials.
Associate Principal Scientist, Drug Product Delivery
Drug Product Delivery (DPD) in Gothenburg is the only site within AstraZeneca where we package and distribute investigational products to AZ clinical trials around the globe. We are a vital part of the PT&D,R&D Supply Chain organisation.
This is a technically advanced role, with no direct reports, contributing to delivery of drug product for clinical trials. This role will have an impact on the speed, quality and cost of the AZ development portfolio and the overall success of the R&D Supply Chain.
Accountabilities/ responsibilities:
* Act as DPD ambassador throughout the wider AZ
* Expected to develop and maintain network external to DPD to facilitate effective project delivery
* Will contribute to the management of external collaborations, and will represent DP Delivery at meetings external to AZ
* Will use own functional knowledge to deliver high standards, with an increasing freedom to act without direct supervision. The impact is directly related to the quality of solutions developed, the service provided and the degree of influence the role has on others
* Is expected to have effective levels of interactive communication within DPD and throughout R&D SC Community.
* Will have a thorough understanding of the principles and concepts of Drug product delivery as well as how the team interacts with SC R&D, PT&D and AstraZeneca globally
* Expected to evolve the role and business processes both within the team and global R&D SC
* Collect and analyse customer feedback
* Leading complex projects e.g. continuous improvement/forums or segments of large cutting edge international projects, applying specialist knowledge
* Will be expected to manage risk
* Act as DPD Project leader within the agreed project portfolio, the role holder ensures the delivery of studies to agreed project plan
* Ensure excellent project plans and challenge where appropriate, to improve flexibility and productivity and drive success for own area or programme
* Share feedback on project status, proactively escalating any significant issues and contribute to forward planning on programme level
* Understand overall aims of the clinical study and share scientific project details from the supply chain team to DPD.
* Collaborate closely with SC team members, contributing with expertise to optimize the design of clinical trial kits, and effective processes for packaging, labelling and distribution.
* Has strong technical/process competence and credibility and thereby possibility to give assured technical/process input or advice
* Primary interfaces are across the global R&D Supply Chain and externally, but coordinating with other DP Delivery staff is required.

Minimum Requirements -Education and Experience
* MSc/BSc or equivalent experience (>10 years) in a science field.
* Thorough understanding of GMP requirements.
* Demonstrate ability to work with teams in a culturally diverse, complex and changing environment.
* Project management experience
