Job Summary:
As a Range and Promotion Manager Ferries in the Category Management department, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing range changes and promotions from a category management and consumer marketing perspective. You will work closely with the Category Managers, the retail manager and the client(s) to ensure objectives are met.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Range changes:
• Collaborate with the Category Managers, retail manager and client(s) to develop a range strategy. Plan and coordinate range changes from a category management perspective. Responsible for updating the process when needed.
Promotions:
• Collaborate with the Category Managers, retail manager and client(s) to develop a promotion strategy that aligns with the overall objectives.
• Allocate promotions per promotion spot in the shop and on digital displays in other parts of the ferry.
• Secure marketing material is collected from suppliers and handed over to client on time.
• Secure information flow internally and externally and overall planning of supplier driven events (tastings etc)
Space management:
• Be responsible for the allocation of space in the shop across categories and organize the shipment and loading of furniture if branded gondolas are needed.
• Be a superuser of potential future space management system or implement a space management template in Excel to secure alignment between categories.
Price:
• Suggest price strategy together with the retail manager.
• Conduct price analysis with price benchmark tool. Analyse the price position of competitors and give recommendations on future pricing.
Administration
• Responsible for sending through data to master data in regards to registration of information in AX (product, prices, assortment, ..). Collaboration with category coordinators during peak seasons such as range changes.
Client contact
• Be the key point of contact for general category management related questions from the stores and contact person at the client's HQ
• Conduct regular visits onboard the ships.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in retail merchandising, category management, or promotions.
• Experience in space management.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience working with data analysis and insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Competences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks.
• Communication and Language Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
• Ability to write clear and concise reports and presentations.
Language / Communication Skills:
• Complete fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
• Further languages (for example Norwegian/Swedish is essential in the Retail role.
