Drive vision, strategy and roadmap for the CI & CD Architecture for DNEW PDU NSV.
Drive TA studies to turn strategy into executable development items together with MS-RBS evolution, Test and production care, RAN Product, DevOps, Costumer handling, Product verification.
Technical leadership is required due to the multi-site operations and the required interaction with other PDU's and stakeholders. Cooperation with similar roles within Ericsson (for example other RAN development units, BDGS, BID and Radio development) is of great importance to improve CI & CD as a concept within Ericsson.
Develop the architecture of CI & CD towards Ericsson design principles, to become modular, flexible and interface driven.
Ensure that CI & CD architecture strives towards flexible deployments of our RAN products. An efficient CI/CD pipeline is crucial to manage the complexity of 4G, 5G and Cloud RAN, to meet and adapt to the customer commitments, and keep costs low to support profitability.
Propose and/or influence requirements on product architecture to move towards products that can easily be integrated and deployed continuously in operator networks.
Drive RAN product development lead time reduction and flow optimization by interacting with program managers.
Propose new methodology for CI & CD on node level and share the findings within Ericsson's CI & CD community, for example data driven development to increase understanding of the available data to be used for flow optimization (e.g., what shall we test for a specific product based on statistics, how often shall we build a UP from a lowest cost per byte perspective, what is the risk level of a certain delivery etc.)
Ensure that new ideas/innovations in the CI & CD area are patented.
Maintain and develop competence within the CI & CD community with input from other units within Ericsson as well as outside the company.
Work with stakeholders to continuously initiate/identify improvements in the areas of ways of working, CI & CD Engineering Environment availability, CI & CD Engineering Environment troubleshooting capabilities and visualization of 4G & 5G RAN product development flow (e.g., visualization on where in the development flow a code commit or a trouble report currently is).
Qualifications:
BSc level in a technical discipline or the equivalent level of knowledge
Good English communication skills
5+ Years' experience working SW Industry
Considered a subject matter expert in Continuous integration and Deployment Technologies (i.e., Microservices, Use of AI/ ML etc.) especially on cloud.
Deep SW Development knowledge
Ability to contribute to hands on work with systemization, coding, design and test activities
