What you will be a part of
Saab Kockums provides design, construction and in-service support for advanced naval systems such as surface combatants and submarines to the Swedish Armed Forces and other customers worldwide. Our product portfolio consist of the air-independent Stirling system, mine countermeasure systems and submarine rescue systems amongst other. Saab Kockums operate in Karlskrona, Malmö, Muskö, Järfälla and Singapore.
Are you our next RAMS Engineer? At Saab we encourage people to grow and develop! Since our colleague is moving on within the company, we are now looking for a dedicated RAMS Engineer to join our team!
The Section Logistics Engineering is responsible for that delivered products have the expected level of dependability ie availability, reliability and maintainability/supportability. This include securing that our systems and components works well in their functions, is easy to maintain, have correct spare parts and that tools and documentation is available when needed. It also means making sure the crew is educated for the mission.
Your base is our centrally located office in Dockan, Malmö. Work travels from time to time is part of the job, most often to our site in Karlskrona. The team consists of 15 persons, working from our sites Malmö and Karlskrona. You report to Head of Logistics Engineering
Your role
Our main focus and concern, is to secure reliable systems for our clients. Your main tasks will be to perform maintenance analysis, produce maintenance plans and dimensioning of spare parts. The work is mainly performed during the design and construction phases. When the platform is in operation you support the customer with analysis during modifications and other rebuilding work.
Understanding of technical functions and operations is a requirement for the analysis work. Your work will be performed in close cooperation with system developers and designers. Collaboration with customers, operators and suppliers will also be an essential part of this work. Other tasks included in the work are for example participating in requirement analysis, calculation and offer evaluation, development of processes, methods and tools.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for both junior and senior RAMS Engineers. To be successful in this position you need a service minded approach and high analytical ability. A Master of Science in Engineering or equal in relevant area is a requirement for the job. Knowledge and experience of risk management is a merit. You are proficient in Swedish and English. Driving license is a requirement.
