Job Description
Do you want a central role in the global evolution of RF standardization? We are looking for an engineer specialized in the radio/RF field to take on the responsibility of Standardization Delegate.
The Standardization and Simulation section consists of 14 people and we strategically drive and specify the evolution of WCDMA technology in products and standards with a clear business focus, fuelling the Mobile Broadband revolution. We have a very good track record in identifying and coaching technical leaders and two Ericsson Inventors of the Year came from our team.
You will be a part of the Ericsson standardization efforts in the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) - a world-wide standardization body responsible for WCDMA/HSPA evolution. Your mission will be to further strengthen Ericsson's leadership in the RF domain and to ensure excellent overall system performance at a reasonable cost. This is a central role where you cooperate externally with people from our toughest competitors and our best customers in the 3GPP RAN4 expert group, where Ericsson is the leading contributor, and internally, with skilled people in radio base station development, Strategic Product Management, WCDMA RAN System Management, and Ericsson Research. This position includes about 40 days of traveling per year.
Competence
You enjoy working in a dynamic, global environment, and meeting new people. You are keen to solve problems as they arise and do so creatively. You work well independently but are also a team player who puts a lot of focus on reaching results on time and with high quality.
You have excellent competence and interest, in radio/RF. Experience in simulations of radio performance at a link level and/or system level is a definite advantage.
As we work in an international environment, you must have an excellent command of English. You have a Master of Science and substantial experience in related job areas.
