The role of the R&I iMed Informaticians is to deliver Informatics services to the R&I scientist, to provide Informatics support to IS development projects and to be a link between embedded informatics groups and the R&I Business Delivery Unit.

Dependent on the current priorities and the skill set of the role holder this may include classical bio-/chemo-/clinical informatics tasks, data integration, -analysis, -viz across internal and external data sources.
• Role holder will support IS development projects with Informatics expertise for example by providing a link to end-users and steer on high quality utilization of data sources and Informatics tools.
• Role holder will support BDU Business Relationship Managers with interactions with iMED Scientists and Informaticians to facilitate demand and priority management.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
• The role holder must have a very strong Life Science background; MSc or PhD in Biology, Chemistry or Medicine, or equivalent professional experience in these areas. Experience of cross-disciplinary work is desirable.
• Proven professional experience, not older than 1½ years, of basic computational technologies including scripting (e.g. Perl, Python, Knime, Pipeline Pilot etc.), databases (e.g. SQL), viz tools (e.g. Spotfire, Cytoscape), and analysis tools (R, SAS). We are not expecting professional software developer-level skills, but a basic fluency in the technologies above.
• He or she will also have excellent communication skills and a proven track record of collaborative working.
• Proven knowledge in bioscience and Informatics, information management and/or Information Science.
• Flexibility in adjusting to changing environment and project needs.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem solving, and demonstrated leadership skills essential
