The Arena
To the department of Medicinal Chemistry Respiratory & Inflammation, AstraZeneca R&D, Mölndal, Sweden we are seeking a talented and motivated medicinal chemist
In your role you will work closely together with experts in the areas of computational and structural chemistry, bioscience and pharmacokinetics in multidisciplinary project teams.
The Role
Lead identification and Lead Optimization are key steps in the discovery of new drugs. Your main tasks will include synthesis, purification and structural elucidation of biologically active compounds as well design of new compounds based on data generated in our projects. The role will require a highly developed understanding of reaction mechanisms and molecular interactions.
Minimum Requirements
The positions require a PhD degree in the field of synthetic organic or medicinal chemistry or equivalent experience. Interpersonal skills are highly valued.
Preferred experience/requirements
The successful applicant is to be structured yet flexible and creative, preferably with previous industrial experience of drug development.
