We are looking for a R&D Team Manager to strengthen our team in HVDC, a business unit within Hitachi ABB Power Grids. In this role you will lead a diverse group of software developers working in a dynamic environment, striving towards quality and on time delivery, while keeping safety and integrity in mind.
Your responsibilities
Developing and driving continuous improvement activities to optimize processes, policies, procedures and team effectiveness.
Guiding, motivating, coaching and developing the skills, knowledge and competencies of the team.
Working closely with customers to shape and deliver technical solutions and utilizing feedback to drive the delivery of innovative improvements and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Building, developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external (customers, universities, etc.) contacts.
Contribute in ensuring that the cross functional teams are adequately resourced, developed and equipped to meet business needs.
Budget responsibility and taking ownership of managing business performance against agreed-upon financial targets and constraints.

You will have responsibilities in the Product Care area and in addition to the manager role, you will also be an active part in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) as an Epic Owner for Product Care.
Your background
The successful candidate should have a M.Sc. or a B.Sc. in Engineering, preferably with software focus.
You have most likely worked as a Software Line Manager or Project Manager before, in projects with high complexity.
Knowledge and experience in SW development, and preferably within integration, configuration and release management.
Experience from working in an agile organization, preferably SAFe.
Strong commitment towards safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
