hela Sverige You will be part of Power Products in Figeholm. We are a global leader in the field of transformer insulation, serving both internal ABB transformer factories and external customers. On the idyllic Swedish east coast close to Oskarshamn, ABB is operating a paper machine converting cellulose into so-called transformer board. The transformer board is further converted both at Figeholm and our insulation-manufacturing units in Poland, Germany, India, China, and Brazil. Being a part of ABB?s Product Group Insulation and Components, Figeholm offers the complete package of power transformer insulation to customers worldwide.
The challenge: As R&D Specialist you will join a motivated and enthusiastic team that contributes to the world?s most visionary power transmission projects. Your main task will be to lead product development projects in the field of transformer insulation. This will be achieved through close collaboration with customers, particularly within ultrahigh voltage insulation. You will also work closely with other departments and ABB units worldwide in R&D projects, technical audits and troubleshooting. Moreover, you will coordinate the manufacturing of prototypes or zero-series. Count on an exciting opening where you will get the chance to work in different areas such as R&D, technical sales, or production.
Requirements: You have an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in the field of Pulp & Paper or Polymer Science in combination with at least three years? experience from managing R&D projects. More experienced candidates are most welcome. If you in addition have basic understanding of electrical insulation materials or transformers, this will be counted to your advantage. A certification as project manager is a plus, as is experience from academic or industrial research. Computer literacy is a requirement, you must also be fluent in English, written and spoken alike. Willingness to learn Swedish is a requirement, while knowledge in other languages is an asset. It is valuable if you are used to work with people from different cultural backgrounds. As a person you are goal-oriented, communicative and enjoy working in teams.
