As we are growing, Verisure Innovation is now looking for a driven, engaged R&D Project Manager reporting to the PMO Manager in Madrid, Spain and will be a key member of the R&D Platform Engineering team in Malmö, Sweden.
Verisure's R&D department designs, develops and builds the products that make up our market-leading alarm system. We have a great team of hardware and software engineers working with the latest IoT technologies, and a great team of Project Managers to support them.
In the R&D Platform Engineering team, we are in charge of the alarm's central unit, the main device in the system, which orchestrates all the peripherals (cameras, sensors, etc) and connects to our company's back end through different communication channels. The team's main task is the development of embedded software to support the integration of new products and services in the central unit. We are a cross-site agile team, with engineers based in our two R&D centers: Malmö (Sweden) and Madrid (Spain). We are a dynamic multi-cultural team, fast-paced and open to changes and new ways of working.
Key deliverables
* Create user epics for the team, based on high level requirements from business. Review their delivery.
* Oversee the team backlog, so that it is always up to date and tasks are prioritized according to the business requirements and in sync with other teams. Along with the Platform SW team manager, plan the tasks to be included in development sprints.
* Build and maintain the central unit software roadmap
* In general terms, create and drive a time plan for execution of the defined propositions, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
Key tasks
* Coordinate and drive the delivery plan according to agreed scope and definition from the project conception to the product commercial launch.
* Ensure the plan is executed according to the list of priorities from Proposition Management - aligning with budget and timeline.
* Works closely with the Product Managers, Tech Leads, R&D Organization (HW/SW teams), QA, IT Development, Supply/Procurement teams throughout development process.
* Tracking of key dependencies related to the project and ensure the needs are clear to the respective teams. Drives tradeoff decisions and be agile actively re-planning
* Raise development blockers or needs for cross-geography coordination to relevant stakeholders to be solved
* Handle the project status reporting where a holistic view of the project is needed, and we address the key risks and mitigations.
* Run presentations in product technical reviews with management and cross functional meetings
* Support the development of the Product Development Process to actively drive "better practices" to how we deliver projects in the company.
* As a part of a PMO, you also actively work on bringing learnings from your projects into the common Product Development Process.
* Master traditional project management methodologies as well as Agile development.
What you bring

You enjoy working in a team and you find it fundamental to respect the views and contributions of others.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
* 5-10 years of experience as a Project Manager, Technical Product Manager or other agile project management role, such as Product Owner and/or Scrum Master.
* Competence to lead in an agile way with an international mindset
* Certifications in project management (PMP), and especially in Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe), are appreciated.
* Good English skills, both verbally and written. Swedish and Spanish is an advantage.
