Work description
In the role as Project Leader at our R&D department, you will be leading and coordinating local and cross functional projects, or sub-projects of our more complex projects. You will be responsible for all elements of said projects, such as defining the scope of work, planning costs against budget, resources required and time allocation for activities. You will also be ensuring that project activities follow methodologies and execution practices in accordance with NKT directives.
Your lead will be in partnership with steering groups, product management, local business managers and external parties.
As Project Leader you will be participating in handing over finished results to relevant receiver, as well as in capturing Lessons learned.

Who are you?
In order to excel in the role as R&D Project Leader at NKT you have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering.
As a leader you motivate and lead team members to accomplish tasks and milestones, by providing support through both practical advice as well as action. You see the value of strong team development and your tools and goals in the process are often the same; honesty, integrity and tolerance.
You are a systematic problem solver by nature; seeking solutions through thorough testing, examining and consulting others' expertise. As a result, you are also a very effective organiser with a strong sense of how to monitor and control activities in the best way possible to identify and reduce risks. You view problems as challenges and take your experiences with you whenever you face a new one.
Communication is key, and by sharing that view you ensure transparency around unforeseen results and events and make sure that they are communicated and acted upon. Your communicative skills also benefit you when managing relationships with other teams in Technology, stake holders, internal functions and relevant external parties.
If you have experience from R&D processes and tools, that is a merit. So is experience within engineering and design of submarine cable systems.
Your English is fluent, both written and spoken. If you speak Swedish, or if you are open to learn, that is a bonus.
