At Stena Recycling Group we handle 6 million tons of materials in our recycling operations every year and knowing in detail the contents of this material flow is crucial. We are looking for a Department Manager who can take us to the next level and wants to contribute to a better tomorrow in terms of sustainability. Stena Recycling Group is expanding the team within Research and Development to meet the initiatives run in our focus areas. The R&D team drives productification of second-use materials to enable a more circular economy.
The position
You will lead a team of currently 8 people. The team analyzes all kinds of materials and develops specifications and quality processes for new materials in our European recycling organization. You will work closely with the other managers in the R&D organization and beyond. Your people skills are key to help your people succeed in driving projects in our matrix organization. You will help the whole R&D organization to develop to the next level.
You will report to R&D Director and will be based in Halmstad.

Qualifications, Experience & Personality
Experience from industrial product/process development is key. You have an MSc/PhD in Engineering or science and at least five years of experience in a leadership position. You will be working in cross-functional and international teams including external stakeholders. Therefore, spoken and written English on professional level is necessary, Swedish language is welcome. To be successful in this role we believe that you have a strong curiosity and drive with the ability to operate independently.
