We are seeking a line Manager for our Tools and Support team at Hitachi Energy in Ludvika. The Tools and Support team is a newly formed organization within the MACH R&D Software Operations Department that works on tools used within MACH platform, including virtual Control & Protection (vC&P) offered as Software as a Service (SaaS); and assisting rest of the organization with needed technical support.
You will work closely with four other line managers within the software operations team. The role requires a mix of both managerial and technical skills, and you will be one of our prestigious departmental line managers with flexible working arrangements together with a competitive compensation package. You will have managerial responsibility for a technical team working in a dynamic environment that strives towards quality and on-time delivery.

Your responsibilities
Manage the Tools and Support team that aims to grow up to 10 people by the end of 2023.
Be part of the recruitment and onboarding process for the team members.
Set and follow-up on annual targets.
Responsible to achieve KPI's for the team (e.g., On Time Delivery, Quality, Efficiency / Productivity etc.)
Responsible to achieve financial parameters for the team (Project Utilization, Invoicing etc.)
Review & follow-up with the project team/stakeholders for the team's deliverables, as per the processes.
Accountable for the team as per HITACHI ENERGY Group compliance, Integrity, Health & Safety.
Your background
The successful candidate shall have an M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering or similar area, with background in software development.
Prior managerial experience.
Experience or knowledge about working in an Agile® organization, preferably SAFe®.
Experience with common software development languages such as C, C++, front and back end, as well as scripting and simulations is considered a plus.
You are a self-motivated and reliable team player with an independent and result oriented working style, as well as having strong communicative and collaborative skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Good intercultural sensitivity.
Strong leadership skills.
Training, coaching and mentoring skills.
