As R&D Manager, Molded Fiber you will work in a fast-paced startup environment with the backing and infrastructure of a large global corporation. You will manage the creation of new materials, technologies and intellectual property (IP) for molded fiber. You will report directly to the Head of Molded Fiber unit. The role entails frequent travel and can be located in Stockholm or in Hylte.

Main responsibilities:
• Responsible for building and managing the technology and IP development roadmap
• Develop material/recipes and process technologies for molded fiber based on requirements from product management
• Plan, execute and analyze trials from laboratory scale to full production scale (internally and with external partners)
• Lead implementation of new technologies and process improvements in operations
• Work closely with Operations manager to train manufacturing staff in molded fiber process and establish culture for continuous improvement
• Support in preparation of investment proposals
• Technical contact for external technology providers

Who are we looking for?

We seek a highly driven and self-motivated individual with ability to take on work tasks beyond his/her daily duties and comfort zone.
• You have a creative yet structured mindset with the ability to quickly build a view on different technology areas, materials and how they impact IP landscape
• You have the ability to quickly assess the technical feasibility of new technologies and their potential to create tangible business results
• You are experienced in liaising with multiple stakeholders and synthesizing business requirements to technical development activities
• You have extensive experience in pulp, paper and/or cellulose materials and manufacturing processes
• You have experience from IP management and you are likely to be the inventor of multiple patents
• Experience from molded fiber will be considered an advantage
• Experience from packaging or short-lived consumer goods will be considered an advantage
• Skills to navigate and influence in multi-cultural matrix organization
• MSc and/or PhD in Engineering, Material science, paper & pulp chemistry or similar
• 10 years of relevant work experience
• Fluent in English and preferably Swedish.
