We are now looking for an R&D Manager for our department in Sweden to lead this work and our team into the future, someone who wants to contribute to our ongoing success. The location for this position is flexible within Sweden, but requires you to initially spend most of your time at our site in Fagersta to familiarize yourself with the business and your team members.
Key performance areas
As R&D Manager you are responsible for leading, motivating and developing your team in Fagersta by ensuring a high-quality performance process, attracting the right competencies and planning for future demands. You are responsible for processes and daily operation, as well as for delivery and work environment, and you are accountable for budgets, salary reviews, forecasts and follow-ups. You work with short and long-term strategies and visions based on Seco's business goals and the R&D strategy for your area, and you ensure the development of competitive and profitable solutions and products. Your mission is, further, to ensure good relations between other product lines, identifying and working on synergies to strengthen future collaboration. Additionally, you drive change initiatives to achieve continuous improvements and reach high-quality results.
In this position, you are a member of the management team for Seco R&D Insert Tools.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Material Science or Mechanical Engineering, where additional education in finance is advantageous. You have at least five years' experience from working in a leading R&D position, preferably also from the industrial sector. Experience from stakeholder management, staff and career development, and R&D collaboration is important, as are change management skills. As we work in an international setting, you need to be fluent in English, while additional skills in Swedish and French are a plus.
