As environmental legislation gains momentum, it will drive our business even more rapidly in coming years. Now we're looking for R&D Manager who wants to help us make a difference in the world. With business understanding, a passion for technology and what can be achieved with it, you manage and develop the engineering and technology teams consisting of about 20 full team employees. You are innovative, analytical, process oriented and conscientious, with a drive to exceed expectations. You challenge and work actively to develop employees. You delegate tasks and share Your knowledge. You believe in cross functional cooperation, have strong communicative skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
About the job
You will manage employees of the R&D team for PureBallast in multi-engineering disciplines; mechanical, electrical, software, marine biology, fluid dynamics, etc. You are responsible for new product development, product maintenance and a secured industrialization in cooperation with Operations. You keep up to date with current and future regulatory and class development that can impact PureBallast. You are responsible for field evaluation and verification of new technologies. You support global sourcing in qualifying new suppliers and with cost rationalization initiatives.
Key tasks:
* Maintain PureBallast technology leadership through implementing new technical innovations!
* New product development, based on current platform
* Responsible for resource planning, recruitments and operations of the departmen
What you know
* University degree in engineering or equivalent
* Management experience
* Design, product structures build-up and maintenance, industrialization of product in manufacturing
* Experience from maritime industry is a strong merit
* Design experience for equipment to be installed in hazardous areas is as a merit

The PureBallast product is marketed and sold entirely by Alfa Laval and you will act within the global Alfa Laval organization, with many international contacts, both internally and externally.
You will be employed by AlfaWall AB in Tumba.
