The Product Development Unit (PDU) Evolved Infrastructure is a corner stone of Ericsson Core & IMS as well as GSM business, based on our solutions, platforms and components. Securing a smooth evolution of our customer core network infrastructure from today's installed base to Component Based Architecture (CBA), taking the overall network solution aspect into consideration, is key to our future business success.
The Component Based Architecture (CBA) is a base for development of modular, flexible and robust components that are used in several leading products, for example in 3G and 4G mobile networks. Since CBA is still in its early phase we have a lot of challenges and opportunities for improvements.
We are now looking for a number of Linux developers with the ability to handle flexible roles, in our agile development environment it's a strength to handle both design and test.

Job description:
As a Linux developer, you will work in a cross functional team, including all development phases covering studies, implementation, verification and delivery using agile development methods.
You will work with systemization, prototyping and implementing, as well as you will be involved in software design/modeling, creating automated tests, troubleshooting and also supporting applications around the world. We are a professional international software development team with strong focus on users needs. Fun@work is for the team one central key to success.
Qualifications
To be a successful candidate you:
• Have knowledge about how to build custom kernels
• Have knowledge about virtualization technologies, such as KVM and Xen
• Have excellent C programming skills, ideally previous experience in writing code for the Linux kernel
• Have good understanding of network booting
• Are fluent in English, both written and spoken
You are flexible, want to make things happen and are keen to learn and improve things constantly. You are interested in people and techniques with a clear customer focus. We welcome positive, open-minded and self-motivated people who appreciate challenges and teamwork.
