We are now looking for a R&D Laboratory Engineer for our Innovation Centre within the Biomaterials Division. You will perform critical experimental lab work, such as evaluating new hypotheses, test formulations and analyze results which is vital for new material development. You will be part of taking new material innovations from lab scale, through pilot, to reach desired properties set in close collaboration with customers.Responsibilities & Tasks· Plan and conduct material development by hands-on experimentation in the laboratories· Develop, modify and document methods for characterization · Perform material characterization to verify that critical specifications are met· Document experimental data and findings and communicate to the team· Consider safety throughout all aspects of work and ensure safety standards in the laboratory are in line with procedures and routines QualificationsA material science, chemistry or other relevant degree (BSc, MSc, laboratory technician or equivalent) is a prerequisite, and it is a plus if you have 1-3 years of experience of laboratory work. You are skilled in Office and it is good if you are familiar with documentation systems in laboratory setting. Good skills in verbal and written English are required. As a person you are adaptive, eager to learn and appreciate a dynamic work environment. You enjoy working independently in a laboratory environment and consider yourself structured and well-organized. Work is performed in project teams, it is therefore crucial that you have good team work and communication skills. The position will belong to the R&D Laboratory organisation in the Innovation Centre of Biomaterials in Sickla, Stockholm, but you will initially be working in the Cellutech team located at KTH Campus, Stockholm.
