Telecom networks are evolving at an extremely high pace across a broad technological environment including virtualization, disaggregation, cloud, AI, IoT, and Industry 4.0. All this with an increasing focus on security both within the industry and also from regulation and legislation organizations.
To support our Engineering Units to develop world-class HW/SW and to reach our wanted position in security Engineering Environment and Experience (EEE) units Security Operation Programs and initiatives have been created.
Within the Engineering Unit Hardware EEE, we are looking for a senior system engineer with a passion and drive within the IT security area. Within the unit you and in the role as a R&D IT Security leader you will support the business that security requirements are fulfilled in the IT solutions. You will work in the boundary between business and IT to proactivity to increase the security posture in Engineering Environment and the products delivered to our customers. You will also be a key player in studies and assessment activities connected to the R&D IT environment.
Since the R&D environment and organization is extensive you will work in several areas like automation, digitalization, IT environment, and applications. Work is often driven as R&D projects where you will be a big part to represent R&D IT and work together with other functions in Ericsson information security.

What you will do
Manage identified security initiative(s) from strategy to end of life
Support prioritization of security initiatives
Support the long-term strategy for R&D IT security
Perform forward-looking analysis and trends
Facilitating decisions; ensuring that security initiatives are evaluated appropriately and in the accurate forum
Drive security-related task forces
You will bring
Master's degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering, Business Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field
An analytic mind that can decompose complex problems, an ability to investigate options for solutions and skills for presenting proposals for the way forward
A few years of working experience in a similar area or position
Genuine interest in Product Architecture and Technology
Other Specialist Security knowledge
Few years of working experience in a similar area or position
Experience from the telecom sector is meriting
Entrepreneurial & Commercial Thinking
Deciding and initiating action
Analyzing, planning, organizing, and communication skills
Coping with pressures & setbacks
Ericsson R&D experience
SW development experience
Information Security Standards and Frameworks such as NIST, NCSC, 27001, etc.
IP Networks, Operating Systems, and databases
Knowledge and/or experience mitigating risk in complex environments.
Deep understanding of Linux.
