We have a market-leading position globally with our Surface Division Drilling and Exploration Products and are investing heavily in technology and product development to stay competitive and meet the ongoing technology shifts in our industry.

Our current Group Manager for the Carrier & Driveline team has taken on new challenges within Epiroc and we are now looking for his successor. The team consists of 15 mechanical designers including DAR 's (Design Area Responsible) within the teams' areas of expertise.

Your mission

As a group manager, you are a member of the local R&D management team and report to the R&D manager PC Örebro. Your mission in this role is to lead and develop the R&D Carrier & Driveline team and secure both the short- and long-term headcount and competence needed. It is also in your mission to secure the solutions and enable the execution of Technology Development, New product development and Product Maintenance portfolios and roadmaps as well as the execution of Special orders, Product Safety Issues, etc.. This is done together with other R&D teams and your cross-functional and cross-divisional colleagues. Furthermore, you are expected to, together with your management team colleagues, develop the R&D department to be a modern, inclusive, diverse, innovative solution partner to both external and internal customers. This includes setting the strategy with your team, where to be and how to develop in the coming years.

Your profile

You have a holistic and constructive approach through which you contribute to the R&D management team and other stakeholder forums. You enjoy a collaborative environment and believe in finding solutions together.

You have the ability to focus on short-term goals and at the same time work strategically and long-term. Your technical background and experience in the design process are meritorious. We are a global organization with colleagues in Sweden, India, China and the USA, therefore a good level of English, both verbal and written, is required in the role.

Location and travel

The location for this position will be in Örebro, hybrid work is possible in agreement with your manager. Global travel will be included in the role. In case a candidate from a different country applies and is successful, Swedish local terms and conditions will apply.
