Job Description
Staff Function R&D, within Strategic Development, is searching for a R&D Engineer within Mechanical Engineering.

Your tasks as an R&D Engineer within Mechanical Engineering
As an R&D engineer within Vattenfall R&D, you will work with technical support for Vattenfall's production units as well as with research projects focused on optimizing availability, maintenance and mechanical life of Vattenfall's assets.
Your assignments within mechanical analysis will vary, examples of assignments are:
Develop models to estimate and visualize remaining life of mechanical components
Review mechanical design calculations for new components
Develop tools to integrate measurements from production units and experimental models with numerical models
Qualifications
Your qualifications as a Mechanical R&D Engineer
Relevant University degree within Engineering , e.g. MSc Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 2 years' of experience with FE analyses and fatigue assessments
Exellent communicative skills, orally and written, in English. Swedish is advantageous
Driver's licence (B)

You are a considerate listener with analytic skills expressing your reasoning clearly as well as succinctly. You are creative and often bring new ideas and approaches in work-related issues that can be transformed into action and added value for the company. We believe you have the capacity to drive the process from idea to practice and encourage diverse thinking to achieve goals.
