At R&D we go from ideas to real projects in very short time. We believe that our employees can change the future of Vattenfall and that their ideas are extremely important. We are now looking for a Senior R&D engineer within Energy Management for Buildings to Solna or Älvkarleby.
There is a fast and growing customer demand for becoming more energy efficient and sustainable. Property owners strive for sustainability and environmental certification for their buildings and for an optimal indoor climate. In your work, you will develop new energy solutions for our customers, based on their behaviors and needs with the building properties in focus.
Your responsibilities
As a Senior R&D Engineer, we want you to be a part in developing new products and services for meeting buildings? energy demands when it comes to e.g. heating, electricity and ventilation.
With the customer in focus, you will analyze the building?s behaviors and needs as well as developing new energy services and solutions, including all energy systems for the building. The focus is primarily on commercial buildings even if the whole building stock is of interest. You will work closely with Vattenfall?s business developers for district heating as well as the sales department to ensure implementation of the ideas and solutions developed at the R&D department, where you will be employed.
You will lead and participate in development and demonstration projects as well as offering technical support to business and product developers.
Your qualifications and personal skills
We are looking for a person with a university degree in relevant field. You have a minimum of five year work experience where practical experience connected to customer drivers such as environmental certification processes and building directives is preferable. Fluency in English is a prerequisite, a good command of Swedish is desirable.
You are analytical, self-driven and collaborate well in team environment. You value communication and appreciate taking new contacts. You are able to develop rough ideas and ambitions into concrete and successful projects. As the work involves extensive interaction both internally and with external partners and suppliers, a good understanding of commercial aspects and an ability to establish and maintain relationships and networks is an advantage.
