At the department of Materials Design and Sintering we work with research and development of new cemented carbide materials and sintering processes. We implement new technologies in close collaboration with the product development team and production, with a responsibility to secure adequate IP protection for our technology platforms, and cutting-edge technology for our future products. We have a well-equipped laboratory with sintering furnaces and equipment for thermal analysis. We are now looking for a R&D Engineer who wants to contribute in our development in an exciting role with great opportunity to grow within the company.
The location for this position is in Västberga, Stockholm.
Your challenge
In this role you are responsible for the vacuum sintering furnaces at our R&D laboratory, including daily operation, driving improvements as well as contributing to long term development of sintering processes and equipment. You take active part in R&D projects for materials and process development where you are responsible for work packages including executing tests in our sintering equipment, analysis of data and communication of results in technical reports and oral presentations. When applicable you run investment projects related to new equipment. You work closely with the production organization by giving support in technical issues and in industrialization of new processes.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor in Engineering, within the area of Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics or similar field. You have experience of process equipment and/or furnace equipment and good IT knowledge. Experience within development or production of powder materials and related processes are advantageous. Since we are located in Sweden and work in a truly global environment you are fluent in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing.
