Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated R&D Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our GaN/InGaN/AlGaN microLED materials platform. In this role, you will be responsible for advancing processing techniques, conducting materials characterization, and playing a key part in building the next-generation microLED prototypes.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute process flows for creating LED prototypes, including essential materials characterization techniques.
• Analyze and interpret characterization results and provide recommendations to improve device performance and fabrication processes.
• Collaborate closely with the team to optimize material, processing parameters, and device architecture.
• Execute and monitor customer pilot projects, ensuring alignment with technical objectives and customer expectations.
• Stay current with advancements in microLED materials and technologies.
• Continuously learn and grow by exploring new ideas and approaches to enhance our technology and characterization capabilities.
Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in physics, materials science, nanotechnology, or a related discipline; alternatively, an MSc in a relevant field with several years of experience in LED fabrication.
• Experience with LED manufacturing processes, including light-extraction optimization and flip-chip integration.
• Experience with semiconductor device physics and cleanroom fabrication processes.
• Strong understanding of GaN/InGaN LED device physics.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, including experience with programming and quantitative data analysis.
• Hands-on, proactive, and goal-oriented mindset with a strong desire to innovate.
