Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Master's or PhD in a relevant technical field. A background in Materials and/or Mechanical Engineering is advantageous in this position. Previous experience from working with materials development or product development is beneficial - but not an absolute requirement. Practical experience of metal cutting is also very valuable in this position, as is experience in writing reports and recording results of projects and tests and presenting these. As we operate on the global stage, your English skills, both written and verbal, must be great. For non-Swedish applicants, Swedish is not an initial requirement, but, long-term, you will be expected to develop your Swedish skill to a level where you can communicate in Swedish during meetings.
We place great value on your personal qualities in this recruitment. You are curious and enjoy experimenting and testing new ideas. Also, by having a detail-oriented and structured character, you are able to keep records of accurate observations, and you have the patience to undertake tests and technical experiments. With your great communication skills, especially in writing, you easily create reports and other documents.
At Sandvik Coromant, we strongly believe that diversity of experience, perspective and background will lead to a better environment for our employees, our business, and thereby, our customers.
